Magnetic Therapy
Using magnetic energy for healing purposes is a very old technique. It was used effectively in ancient China, Egypt and India. Magnetic energy is commonly known as “Chi” in China and as “Prana” in India.
Magnetic therapy is an alternative healing method that is also natural. It reduces inflammation, joint pain and enhances sleep. Not only is it effective but also easy to use. Considering the rapidly increasing cost of medicines, magnetic therapy has a bright future, as it is economic and effective. Unlike allopathic medicines, magnetic therapy has no side effects.
Various studies have been conducted in this field and the studies have been successful. For eg. Dr.Weintraub conducted a study using magnetic therapy for diabetes foot pain. Nine out of ten diabetics showed a significant reduction in painful burning sensations and numbness. Today all over the world, magnetic therapy is becoming popular as method of healing. Many progressive health care practitioners are increasingly using magnetic therapy.
However, there is a dispute that magnetic therapy should not be considered as an alternative to traditional medicine. Instead, it should complement and enhance the treatment plan of the patient.
As any new method of treatment shows varying results so is the case with magnetic therapy.
An important factor is how much the magnetic field penetrates the human body. Magnetic therapy is also known to help fractured bones faster, cure back pain and arthritis. A magnet has two poles- positive and negative. According, Dr. Philpott’s study the negative magnetic field energy can be used to fight infection, normalise acid base balance and increase cellular oxygen.
When magnetic field is applied to the injured area, improves the blood flow and oxygen supply thereby speeding the body’s healing process. Magnetic therapy provides relief from pain by blocking pain sensations.
Magnetic therapy is known to cure anything from acne to asthma. However, before using magnetic therapy, one should consult a medical health practitioner.
