Male baldness happens to over half the population. If you have begun to experience some degree of hair loss and you are a man, you can rest assured that you are not alone.

Male baldness is also referred to as male pattern baldness. Nearly all cases of hair loss in men happen because of male pattern baldness. It is an occurrence that happens every day to men everywhere. In fact, most men who are going to become bald experience some degree of hair loss by the time they reach their 35th birthday.

Some men choose to get some kind of treatment when they discover they are losing their hair. However, many more men choose to simply go bald and let nature take its course. A good deal of this most likely has to do with each man’s self-esteem and self-image.

Male baldness happens when hair loss starts to occur. For some, the hair loss is slow and almost unnoticeable. Yet for many more men, male baldness comes like a thief in the night and the hair is gone before you even realize it.

Male baldness is usually caused by an imbalance of testosterone, which produces DHT. This chemical imbalance wreaks havoc on your body, causing your hair to begin to fall out. DHT inevitably stops your hair reproduction over time, in addition to thinning the hair.

Your genes can also play a big role in whether or not you could go bald. Is your mother’s father bald? Is there a history of baldness in your father’s family? Hereditary can quite possibly determine whether or not you could be bald in the future.

For many men, going bald doesn’t happen until much later in life. Some men don’t start to notice baldness until they reach their late 40′s or early 50′s. However, for those who are predisposed to baldness, signs of balding could begin in the early 20′s or 30′s.
