Obesity and weight gain should be under constant care and periodical and regular check up is necessary period. Other noticeable defects in premature babies are missing limbs malformation of the heart and underdevelopment of spinal cords. These defective babies mother are likely to be obese.
Chronic heart diseases infertility irregular menstruation and complicated maternity are the problems faced with obese women. Evidence and fact studies substantially prove that glycemic control alterations are responsible for structural birth defects of infants. Women with diabetes characterize specific categories of birth defects.
Cardiovascular diseases are also seen in infants of obese mothers. Studies constantly show a positive association between maternal obesity in early pregnancy and congenial heart diseases. The short and long term implications in maternal obesity prove to be a challenge in the growth of off springs.
Pregnancy loss is relatively associated with maternal obesity. Risk of abortion is extremely prevalent in case of obese pregnant woman. Glucose intolerance will be on the higher side. Proper intake of nutritious food without fat and sweets will be effective to reduce the maternal obesity.
