Morning sickness experienced during maternity period is bound to cause lot of pain and irritation to pregnant women. Change in hormones is the main reason for lot of problems. During the first week of conception the problems faced are darkening of areolas exhaustion or sleepiness and secretion of excessive saliva. After six weeks women may face frequent urination problems. During the entire period of pregnancy discomforts due to headaches abdominal cramps nausea and vomiting will be prominent.

Morning sickness is related with cramps in the lower abdomen and headaches. These symptoms extend trouble and irritation will persist.

Reasons for morning sickness may be discussed with the physician and solution to overcome from this problem may be sought. Estrogen the female hormone is the main cause for morning sickness as its level will tend to increase. Increasing level in estrogen will have an effect in the smell and taste. Women with weak stomach are prone to vomiting thereby worsening the morning sickness to be extremely severe and frequent. Instant relief for morning sickness is not available though there in advancement in medical science.

Some ideas and suggestions are recommended to reduce the severity of sickness. Nausea will be increased due to heat. So warm places and smells which are offensive may be avoided. Kitchen or the cooking place should be airy. There should be enough sleep in the night to avoid tiredness as it will increase or aggravate the sickness.

Spicy and junk foods should be avoided as they may lead to heartburn or nausea. Protein snacks are preferably good. Food with low fat contents is highly recommended. Smaller meals with regular intervals are good to be healthy. Skipping of meal will aggravate the existing tiredness in the body and hence it should be avoided. Salty intake of food before the meal will prevent nausea and tiredness. Hanky can be used around the nose. Zofran reduces morning sickness. Herbal remedies are also available. If timely steps are followed bathroom visits will decrease in number. Morning walks and breathing in of fresh air will be favorable to overcome morning sickness and trouble.
