Vitamins And Minerals That Are Important For A Person With Hiv
Minerals and vitamins are important for a person with HIV. Of course, they are important for everyone. We can’t make these vitamins they must come from the nutrients we absorb via our diet. If we are healthy and eat a good quality diet we can meet most of the need for these vitamins and minerals. But that is often not the case for an ill person or a person with HIV. Sometimes we need a supplement.
Even though there are RDA values for vitamins and minerals this is not based on an ill persons needs. We can do better by adding a multivitamin mineral to our daily diet but an HIV infected person might consider boosting things up a bit. Here we will look at the sources of some necessary vitamins in a good diet.
First let us look at some vitamins that might be a good supplement for an ill person with HIV.

Antioxidants are important for everyone and especially people living with HIV as it is thought to reduce the free radicals that actually help to make HIV grow. Sources of these antioxidants are as follows but additional supplementation might be good.

It is also important to have variety in a meal and to supply the body with any supplement it might need.
